Through Our Lens: Capturing Wildlife in the Wild

A photograph has an incredible ability to bring you back to a moment.

You might take hundreds of pictures during a trip, but occasionally there’s one that immediately captures how it felt to actually be there.

For us, photography has become an important part of preserving our adventures.

Over the years, we’ve collected thousands of photographs from our time traveling, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and exploring together.

Each one tells a little piece of a much larger story.

Why We Take the Camera

When we’re exploring somewhere new, there’s always something worth remembering.

Sometimes it’s a huge landscape.

Sometimes it’s wildlife.

And sometimes it’s something incredibly simple that catches our attention for just a few seconds.

That’s part of the fun of outdoor photography.

Nature doesn’t pose for you.

The light isn’t always perfect.

Wildlife certainly doesn’t wait while you figure out your camera.

You learn to appreciate the opportunity when it appears.

More Than a Perfect Photograph

Not every photograph needs to belong in a magazine to be meaningful.

Some of our favorite pictures matter because of the story behind them.

Maybe we remember what happened immediately before the photograph.

Maybe getting there was an adventure itself.

Maybe the image captured an animal we weren’t expecting to see.

Or perhaps it simply reminds us of a beautiful day spent somewhere we loved.

That’s what makes personal photography so valuable.

It preserves more than what something looked like.

It preserves a memory.

Looking Back

One of the best parts of documenting our adventures is being able to revisit them years later.

A photograph can bring back details you had almost forgotten.

You remember the weather.

The landscape.

The people who were there.

The things that made you laugh.

Sometimes one photograph leads to an entire evening of stories.

That’s part of what inspired us to create Reagle Adventures.

We already had the memories. We already had hours of video and thousands of photographs.

Now we have somewhere to share them.

Sharing What We See

Our gallery will be another side of the Reagle Adventures story.

The videos allow us to bring you along.

The blog lets us tell you more about what happened.

And photography gives us a way to freeze individual moments from the journey.

We hope some of those images encourage you to look a little closer the next time you’re outside.

Because there’s always something worth seeing.

Sometimes you just need to stop long enough to notice it.
