Some places feel like they were made for adventure, and New Zealand is certainly one of them.
Our travels over the years have taken us to many incredible destinations, but every new country brings a different landscape, culture, and experience. New Zealand became another chapter in a journey that started many years ago with two people who simply loved being outdoors and exploring together.
For us, traveling has never been about checking another destination off a list. We want to experience where we are.
The Journey Is Part of the Adventure
There’s something exciting about traveling to the other side of the world.
Long before you arrive, the adventure has already started. There’s the planning, packing, anticipation, and wondering what the experience will actually be like once you get there.
Then you finally arrive and everything that previously existed as a place on a map becomes real.
That’s one of our favorite things about travel.
Every destination gives you an opportunity to step outside your normal routine and experience something completely different.
Taking Time to Explore
One of the most important travel lessons we’ve carried with us came from Chuck’s mom.
During childhood camping trips, she encouraged the family to slow down, enjoy the sights, appreciate the little moments, and explore the places they visited.
We’ve tried to continue traveling with that same mindset.
When we visit somewhere like New Zealand, the major sights and planned activities are certainly part of the experience. But we also want to notice everything happening between them.
The landscapes.
The wildlife.
The people.
The roads that take you somewhere you weren’t expecting.
Those smaller moments often become some of the strongest memories.
Bringing the Adventure Home
Photography and video have become important parts of how we preserve our travels.
Over the years, we’ve accumulated thousands of photographs and hours of footage from adventures around the world.
Looking through those images can immediately bring you back to a particular place and moment.
That’s also one of the reasons we created Reagle Adventures.
Instead of allowing all those memories to remain tucked away on hard drives and in photo collections, we wanted a place where we could share them.
Always Somewhere Else to Explore
New Zealand represents what we’ve always loved about traveling: getting outside, seeing something different, learning along the way, and experiencing it together.
There will always be another destination we haven’t visited.
Another trail we haven’t followed.
Another landscape we haven’t photographed.
And another story waiting to be told.
That’s exactly what keeps us excited about the next Reagle Adventure.
